Every Plinko original has an auto-bet panel: number of drops, stop on profit, stop on loss, increase or reset on win, increase or reset on loss. None of these change the odds. Some of them protect you and some of them are the martingale in a trench coat. Here is which is which.
The settings that protect you
Stop on loss
The single most important field. Set it to the session's budget โ the amount you decided, before opening the game, that you were happy to spend on entertainment. When it triggers, close the tab. Not setting it is the most common way a CA$50 evening becomes a CA$500 one, because Plinko at 60 auto-drops a minute burns turnover faster than you can process what is happening.
Stop on profit
Less important mathematically (quitting while ahead does not change expected value) but valuable psychologically. A win target of 30โ50% of the session budget is realistic on low and medium risk; on high risk it is a coin-flip.
Number of bets
Use it. A hundred drops is a natural unit โ it is enough to see the shape of the board and short enough that you look at the balance afterwards. Infinite auto-bet is how you look up and discover an hour has gone.
The settings that quietly hurt
Increase on loss
This is a betting progression. "Increase by 100% on loss" is a full martingale; "increase by 50%" is a slower one. On any risk level above low it will find the max bet or the bottom of your bankroll within a few hundred drops, for the reasons laid out in our martingale guide. If you must use it, cap the run with a tight stop-loss.
Increase on win
Less dangerous but pointless: it raises exposure exactly when a streak is about to regress. Reset-on-win with a flat base is the sane choice.
A sensible default

Practise the panel in our simulator โ the Auto button fires ten drops so you can watch the results strip fill โ and price the session with the session cost calculator. At 60 auto-drops a minute and CA$1 a drop an hour costs CA$36 in expectation; at a site paying 20% rakeback (Rainbet code BOOST20) it costs CA$28.80.
FAQ
Does auto-bet change Plinko odds?
No. It only changes speed. More drops per minute means the expected loss arrives faster.
What is the best auto-bet setting for Plinko?
Flat bet at 0.5โ1% of bankroll, reset on win and loss, a stop-loss equal to your session budget, and a fixed number of bets (100) so you review the balance regularly.
